Mackenzie Kirk was born and raised in Houston, Texas. In her youth she trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Contemporary from many professional instructors in the dance industry. Cece White, Kim kelley, Lenorris Arnold, Christian Vincent, Jackie Sleight, Dj Guthrie, Marlana Doyle, Lisa Wolf and many more have been apart of Mackenzie’s training since she was 4 years old.
Her passion led her to train professionally in Los, Angeles in 2019. After training with working Choreographers, Mackenzie signed with Go2talent in January of 2020! After moving back to her hometown in Houston, she pursued the love of teaching as a dance instructor and choreographer at The Dance Vault. Mackenzie specializes in Contemporary, Improv, Hiphop and Jazz funk. She has set multiple Junior hiphop pieces, Contemporary duets and Jazz funk/Contemporary solos! Mackenzie has also been granted opportunities to teach Master classes at 67ate, Progressions Performing Arts, Brownsville Dance Center, and Instep Dance Center. Through the 6 years in her experience of teaching, she has developed a love for seeing her students improvements and accomplishments.
On top of teaching weekly, Mackenzie travels with Gravit8’s dance competition on the weekends as a backstage manager. With this job, she has the opportunity and blessing to greet and comfort dancers before and after they take the stage! As well as having the pleasure of meeting different directors all over the country! Mackenzie hopes to continue to create her visions and establish a safe environment for youth dancers to succeed and grow for the years to come!
